We want your experience at Ascent to feel smooth, welcoming, and stress-free. Here are some of our most common questions:

Getting Started

Do I need experience to take a class?

Not at all. Our classes are designed for all levels, and we offer a Foundations class specifically for beginners. Our instructors will guide you every step of the way.

What should I bring to class?

  • Grip socks (required, available for purchase at Ascent)
  • Water
  • Comfortable workout clothing
  • A smile

What should I expect in my first class?

Expect a welcoming, supportive environment where you’ll be guided through the reformer and each movement. You’ll be challenged—but never overwhelmed.

Booking & Class Availability

How many people are in each class?

Each class is limited to 12 clients (one per reformer) to ensure a personalized, high-quality experience.

How do I book a class?

Classes can be reserved through our app or website.

What if a class is full?

You can join the waitlist.

If a spot opens:

  • You will be automatically added to the class
  • You will receive a text/email notification that you have been added to the class

Important: If you are added from the waitlist, you are responsible for managing your booking.

What if I get added from the waitlist and can’t attend?

You must remove yourself before the 24-hour cancellation window to avoid late fees.

Cancellation & Attendance Policies

What is your cancellation policy?

Classes must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Late cancellations (within 24 hours): $20 fee

What happens if I don’t show up?

If you miss a class without canceling:

  • $25 no-show fee
  • Class will be deducted (if using a package or membership)

What if I arrive late?

Clients arriving more than 5 minutes after class start time may not be admitted.

This will be treated as a late cancel or no-show, and applicable fees will apply.

Memberships & Packages

Are memberships or packages refundable?

All purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Do classes expire?

Yes. All memberships and class packages must be used within their designated timeframes.

Studio Experience

What is your studio environment like?

We’ve created a space that is:

  • Welcoming
  • Supportive
  • Non-judgmental

At Ascent, you’ll never feel like just a number. Our goal is for you to feel comfortable, encouraged, and part of a community every time you walk in.

What is your studio etiquette?

To keep the experience positive for everyone:

  • Grip socks are required
  • Please arrive 5–10 minutes early
  • Phones should be silenced during class

How often should I take classes?

You can take as many or as few classes as you want.  We have several different memberships available, to fit your needs.

For best results, we recommend:

  • 2–3 classes per week

Consistency is key to building strength and seeing results.

Is reformer Pilates low impact?

Yes. Reformer Pilates is a low-impact, joint-friendly workout that builds strength, improves mobility, and supports long-term wellness.
